It's simple.
Elems are Elementals that inhabit Elements. They're royal families, and there are nine of them:
Water
Fire
Earth
Air
Spirit
Sound
Lightening
Nature
Darkness
Within the Darkness family remains the very last of its decendents. One being the Shadow, the other being Tsuki.
The Shadow is a man of pure evil and sinister. He is one of the last to inhabit the Darkness Element, and the first to completely master it. He enjoys inflicting pain, suffering, saddness, and death, and will do anything in order to achieve what he wants. He causes murder and destruction to all, and wants to rule the world, the universe, and wants to turn everything to darkness. Tsuki, his sister and the other remaining member of the Darkness Element, refuses to givin to the dark temptation that her brother had let slip into him, and resists and ignores it, hoping it will someday cease to exist. She is very different from her brother, and actually quite the opposite. She hates killing, and making others suffer, and just wants all the chaos to end. The Shadow continues to force her to the dark side, controlling the darkness within her, and causing her to be evil for short amounts of time until she breaks free or until someone knocks her out of it, and she becomes good again.
So now a war is starting. People are fighting, battling. Different species, including Elems, Vampires, Lycans, Anthros, Dolls, Androids, Angels, Fallens, Unknowns, and even the humans are fighting for what they think will win. Groups and alliances have formed, some wanting Tsuki and Good to prevail, while others want The Shadow and Evil to be victorious. Others either have nothing to do with the war, don't know what side to be on, or are only in it for their own selfish desires. Nevertheless, people keep battling and fighting, wishing for the outcome to be what they desire.
These people are your characters, who will either join the dark side, or the light side. They will either be good, or evil. They will either develop a friendship with Tsuki, or a partnership with the Shadow. Which side will they be on? Which will YOU choose? Darkness or Light. Good, Evil, or In Between. Your choice.
