Sand, sand, EVERYWHERE! Roki, at first, just looked at it. Slowly she began to walk in it, until finally, she began picking it up and throwing it. A small smile crept up to her lips, and she wondered how such a stupid thing could give her pleasure! The longer she played, the more this tingly feeling slithered up her spine. She spun around and around in the sand, feeling WONDERFUL! She was having a great time, until her face hit something hard. Sitting up and rubbing her head, she looked down to see something shiny buried in the sand. Carefully, she picked it up to reveal a small, shiny cup.
Hm. A cup certainly wasn't as much fun as the sand it was in now, was it? Throwing it aside, Roki resumed her joyous game in the giant sandbox. But, again she hit something hard, and again found it to be only a cup. And again, but this time a plate. All had this strange, yellowish metal covering it. Roki had seen people pay lots of money for this yellow stuff.
"What do I need money for?" She asked aloud. Getting no answer, She threw down the so called treasures, walked over to a new spot, and began playing again. She was having a great time again but of course, she stumbled upon another "treasure".
"STUPID" she yelled in frustration, "Go AWAY!" At that, she flung the gold covered item over a nearby hill. About when there should have been a grainy POOF! There was a loud CLUNK! and someone yelled, "OW!!"
Backing up as far as possible, Roki tripped over something and waited for the person she had hit to come kill her.

One two three. One two three. One two three. It sounded more like a gallop of a horse than anything else. His heart pounded, the wind rushing through his red merled painted fur. It was beautiful, the perfect canvas for the artwork. Sky blue orbs set forward as he ran on through the endless desert that had now claimed his heart. Oh how he loved it, it was so blissful in a way. His paws carried him quickly to keep up with his rhythm of the sound of a hose galloping. Here, out here in the wild he was free.
Yet, this freedom, this glorious feeling was stopped. His ears pricked forward, standing like twin mountain peaks upon the top of his head. He looked from left to right, upon to down, and even behind him. He couldn't pinpoint the sound of the loud 'OW!' that he had heard. It confused him and bugged him all at the same time. He wasn't one to know where something wasn't. He lifted his pointed muzzle to the air, to take in the smell of something... a vampire? How interesting, this would be a story to tell someone some day.
He kept going again, running at full pace, but more quietly this time because he could focus on his silence. He saw a small figure off in the distance, but those phenomenal silver locks stood out the most to him. Slowing his pace, he walked back up towards the vampire kid, slowly but cautiously all at the same time. The last thing that he really wanted was a fight. He wasn't in the mood for it right now anyway. Sitting not to far away from the girl, just a couple of feet he spoke. "Hhhhhiiiii," he cheered to her.

Slowly looking up, Roki noticed a figure. Wincing, she hid her face in the sand again.
"What if I hit that guy?" She asked herself. "He'd probably kill me!"
Shivering, not acting like her usual self, Roki began to shift into a sitting position, cautious of the person behind her. Now standing, Roki quickly threw herself around and jumped back, her fangs bared.
"D, don't hurt me, or, or..." She stuttered.
"I, I didn't mean to hit you, h, honest!!!"

He seemed to have stared at the child in a dumbfounded confusion, wondering just what in the world she was talking about? He hadn't done anything to her and didn't see why he could. "Why would I kill you," he suddenly asked her, expressing his confusion. His red violet eyes also expressed himself. Though maybe her question would explain why she was out her by herself with no one around. Maybe something or someone had tried to attack her earlier. He hadn't smelled anything around though. His ears twitched and his tail flickered as he watched and waited.

Letting out a sigh, Roki realized she hadn't hit this.... Person.
Standing up, she asked him, "Who are you?
She knew it was better to know who she was conversing with before she stammered out her own personal information. Besides, she was a kid, what more could she do? Well, besides suck you life blood out and zap you with lightning. That was a different factor Roki didn't think about. She didn't normally talk to anyone.
She got ready, incase for some reason this person wanted to attack her.

As he watched her, he still couldn't understand why she would think he would have any reason to attack him. The anthro reran her question though his head though and happily replied. "I'm Revie," he said, introducing himself. "This is Mr. Llama," he pointed to a llama on his T-Shirt. The odd anthro was known for talking to inanimate objects and speaking for him. Some people feared it, others ignored it, and some found his actions rather amusing. He couldn't help it though. "You," he asked suddenly. If he gave his name, he could get on in return, right?

"Roki", she said, neutral tone.
"why do you have a llama on your shirt?" she asked, still neutral.
She could tell that he was FAR from ordinary, giving her plenty of reason to be ready to attack.
