The legend:
Starting the week before Halloween, when the moon begins anew, it is said creatures begin to creep out of their crypts and corners where they hide. Among the ghosts, witches, vampires, and others, there is a less known kind of monster. That monster is known as "Watashi Wa Irimasu Ketsueki".
In English, it translates to "I Need Blood".Only the "One who lives", or "Dareka Itonami Wan" has the power to stop this unknown beast. Not much is known about these two, but what is I will tell you.
Ketsueki(I need blood) and Itonami(One who lives) are the sisters of life and death. Ketsueki is thought to be a wolf-like vampire of the night, while Itonami is thought to be an angel of the moon. It is said they do not make their appearances until the night of the Ketsueki Tsuki, the blood moon. The Blood Moon only comes out every 2,000 Halloweens. The two sisters are very fond of each other, and Itonami feels the need to protect her younger sister. Ketsueki is, in legend, a small but hungry vampire that searches as long as the blood moon is out for her food and victims. Itonami feeds off the energy of the moon. The Blood Moon stays out longer than any normal phase of moon. It normally stays for around two weeks, stopping the earth from rotating and orbiting. In other words, it stays Halloween as long as the Blood Moon is out. The Blood Moon is built off of the souls of the unrest less. Itonami, once awakened, feeds off the energy that radiates from it. Ketsueki's victims become the base of the moon for when it re-heals. The sisters became this way very long ago when they were cursed by an evil witch. Ever since, they repeat themselves. In the myths, there is mentioned a way to stop them. If someone were to attack and kill even one of the sisters, the other would become either human or plain vampire/wolf. Only the chosen one, though- nothing more is mentioned. The rest is shrouded in mystery.
