There was one hell of a battle about two years ago. There was an upset in the ranks of the Olympians. The God of War wanted much more than he had, he wanted to be the almighty ruler of Mount Olympus. Zeus and Ares fought for decades it seemed, until finally Zeus had to fall back to recover his strength and plot for his return to the throne.
Ares has run amok and caused unbelievable damage to the Gods and Goddesses of Mount Olympus. Taking the crown for himself, he's forcing the other Gods to bow down before him. There is no such thing as a full democracy now, and there is an evident war brewing deep in the Gods, Demigods and Mortal's hearts. The Oracle has depicted Ares to have to face three battles in a war that will come soon, and he'll be killed by a relative and they shall take his place as the "God of War."
However, who will cause his death?
The Gods and Goddesses currently residing on Mount Olympus are keeping their heads down, although hoping that soon their beloved Zeus would come back from his exile and fight Ares to take his throne back. Although it is not looking like that is going to happen very soon. The Oracle is convinced that Ares will be destroyed by his own son or daughter, however it could also easily be the son or daughter of Zeus. Making the Olympians believe that it will be a demigod that will ascend the throne after Ares' rein of terror is completed.
For now, they lay in wait, wandering the lands of Silent Garden, and searching for ways to keep themselves amused in one way or another.
The mortals are completely oblivious to what is going on with the Olympians. It's probably best it stayed that way, however there are some that see right through the mist that shrouds the mystery of the greek Gods and the monsters that they roam around with every day..
The demigods are not safe with Ares' recent tirade after learning of the prophecy that goes against him. He is searching for any and all demigods that could pose a threat, and destroying them before he could be destroyed himself. It would not be wise to allow Ares to figure out your birth, because he's interrogating every demigod that is registered in the Olympian's studbooks.
Be safe, be careful, and beware of Ares...
